Khalida will be teaching the following workshops:

Pops, locks, shimmies & undulations. An action-packed technique workshop,for both oriental & tribal fusion aficionados. Layered shimmies & drilling movements to sharpen your accents & smoothen your undulations.

Traveling steps and transitions. A useful workshop for belly dancers of all styles, covering 'the movements between the steps' as well as 'the steps between the movements'.

Veil choreography to Kemal/Legend of Sinbad. A beautiful romantic dance, with lots of soul, beautiful poses & some interesting veil wraps/combinations inspired by Aziza of Canada.

Khalida is a multi-award winning professional belly dancer and instructor, born in Belgium, living in Germany. 

Known for her musicality, stage presence and excellent technique, Khalida has quickly become a sought-after performer and teacher, both locally and internationally. She has dedicated years of study to her art form, and continues taking classes and workshops with top teachers from Europe, the US and Egypt whenever she can. Her main influences at the moment are Aziza of Canada and Orit Maftsir of Israel. Her specialties include classical oriental dance and modern raks sharki as well as drum solos, dancing with zills, silk veil, cane and wings of isis. 

In the past she has been featured at belly dance events in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Greece, Poland and the US, and she currently offers classes and private tuition at her dance school in Germany as well as workshops and performances across Europe and overseas. Students describe her as a charming, generous and knowledgeable teacher and an engaging performer with a passion for the art.

In 2007 she was awarded first place at Leyla Jouvana's 'Bellydancer of the World' contest and  in 2009 she won first runner-up at the Bellydance Congress Isis Awards.
